OUR DAY OUT

An early start today 9am. Yes I know when you have to get up for work that's not an early start but when your overwintering in Spain at your leisure I can assure you 9am is very early. A mile walk down to the Costa found us at the bus station. albeit 40 mins before our bus was due. There are many buses using the bus station so its a bit like pensioners in England asking if their twerlis. As each bus arrived we would get to the bottom step and ask hopefully is this the bus for Malaga only to receive a shake of he head from he driver. Eventually we got a yes from a bus driver and boarded  for the hours journey to Malaga for at 3 Euros 80 cents (£2.50). Arriving in Malaga we decided to call in at  the tourist office for a map & plan our walk through the city. There are great many museums and churches to visit enroute the problem being the all charge about 5 Euros to go into which for a man on a budget means I have to admire these places from the outside. First pot of call was a cafe for a coffee and a spot of people watching. you would never guess from looking but it would seem the citizens of Malaga are a bunch of toilet roll thieves. I submit my evidence.

Onwards & upwards. We set off enroute to find the treasures of Malaga. There are some wonderful buildings old & new not to mention hundreds of cafe's & restaurants. here's a flavour of what we saw

  1. Hello Bob. Your Malaga bus ride looks interesting. In all the times I've been at Torrox, it's something I've never done. Maybe next year. All the best, John.
