GOING BACK IN TIME

Arrived in the Medieval  town of Bayeux around 3pm this afternoon, the Aire is in a car park bang in the town centre & the  place is stunning  I discovered today that Bayeux was the first town In Framce to be liberated on June the 7th 1944. There some amazing buildings here including the best cathedral I've ever seen :-

Very atmospheric place. Met two Enlish. couples on there way back home. They were very envious of me just nicely arrived. Spoke to Ken last night & he told me he was coming over tomorrow for one night to bring half a ton of parquet flooring for their house in Brittany, arranged to meet up with him. Will be able to have shower at his too. Don't know if I mentioned the water pump has packed up so have will the dubious pleasure of finding a fitting a replacement . Those of you who know me well will realise this is a major task. It involves lying down, spaners, screw drivers & water hoses not to mention electrics. Whatch this space.
