DRIVING ME MAD

After another late night I bade farewell to Phil & Karen this morning leaving them to head south & me to head back northwards. The plan was punch the co-ordinates into Sue & follow her every utterance, which I did 2.45 mins she said, 145 miles she said she was right  & she was right. Unfortunately when putting longtitude & latitude into a sat nav there are about 15 didgets & if you get one wrong Sue takes you where you asked her too albeit down some weird & wonderful roads. We rode along merrily for 2hrs & 45 mins  then Sue in her I know where we are  voice announced " You have arrived at your destination " unfortunately the destination was  a Maize field not an Aire. She had of course taken me exactly where I had asked her too! So on re entering the correct co-ordinates she told me I was 25 miles away. Off we went again another hours drive on good roads then really bad roads for the last 5.7 miles the the Aire in Duras. That should have been the end of a long, hot day, but as we reached the Aire I encountered a problem I could see it I could hear it I could almost imagine sitting in it with a cold beer. The problem was a hight barrier a whole metre lower than Leftie!! Time for plan C. Looked in the Aires book & picked a site 23 miles & 1 more hours drive away. Punched in the numbers & sue sent me back down the 5.7 miles of yellow brick road wich was so narrow I had to sit sideways in the driving seat wondering what would do if I met myself coming the other way. Eventually I arrived at my nights resting place in a pretty town called Port Ste Foy et Ponchapt & am now on my second large small Whisky. Will take photos tomorrow  & report back. Did see one amusing thing on the narrow road  a JCB coming the other way with bike strapped to the back.
