EYMET OR E MAY NOT

Back in Eymet after 20 odd years thought I might get some loyalty discount but apparently it's no longer a camping munisipal it's privately owned still I do have free Wi-Fi & let's face last time I was here Wi-Fi wasn't invented.Sun's cracking the flags., well grass here in the beautiful medieval town of Eymet in the Dordogne. Arrived yesterday afternoon. The site owner runs something he calls happy hour on Friday nights where for 5 Euros he provides wine snacks, bread  & grilled meats for anyone on site who wants to come along for a get together. Decided I'd give it a go. Started around 7pm & by half past there must have been a 100 people gathered round eating , chatting & drinking wine. The happy hour went on till 11.30. Some Dutch, some French & lots of English. Met a fellow Hymer owner called Rob he's 71, his partner is 56 & they live in Spain there just up for a holiday. He hasn't taxed his car in 20 years. Asked him about his MOT & he said he just takes it for servicing every year he bought it new 27 years ago :-
Been into the town square to show you how good it is :-
