Post out of sequence.I'm settling down to Life in Leftie
in Leffo but will heading south on Monday to my next stop along the
way. We are off to the town of Quitin today as it's the Chanteurs de
Rue festival this weekend. That translates as the street singers
festival. Many of the locals dress in 1940s attire and process
through the streets of the town depicting life back in the day. Horse
drawn carriages, musicians, Bretton dancers, old trades, &
vintage cars. The streets are lined with stalls selling local
produce. Then there are the street singers themselves performing in
little booths spread across the town some playing organs played by
turning a handle to make cards with holes in pass through the organ
and produce a tune, some playing accordions, others singing in groups
or alone. A really good day out and of course being in France it was
all free of charge, even the parking. Posting some photos to give you
a flavour of the day;-
